WHAT ARE SKIN BOOSTERS?

Skin boosters are an injectable treatment used to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. They are usually made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the body that helps to keep skin hydrated and firm. Dr Cliona uses Profhilo® in clinic. A premium product known as a 'beneath the skin' moisturiser. It stimulates collagen and elastin production, attracting water to deeper layers of the skin. It provides deep hydration for a dewy appearance to the skin.

Before your treatment: A consultation with Dr Cliona to understand your skin needs and goals.

During the treatment: A topical numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment to ensure maximal comfort. The treatment typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. The skin booster is injected superficially into your skin at multiple points around the face.

After the treatment: Some mild redness and swelling at the injection site. You can usually return to normal activities the following day.
